About OSNZ Postgraduate Education Trust

OSNZ Postgraduate Education Trust was established in 1994 and ran the Part I and Part II ophthalmology courses. In 2001 the University of Otago run both courses and converted the part 1 to a diploma course. In 2007 the Part II course was taken over again by the Trust and is run as the Dunedin Ophthalmology clinical Course. Any surplus monies from the course are given as the Molteno Scholarship or as Grants each year.

The Trust is for postgraduate funding and although the emphasis is on Ophthalmology and medical graduates, orthoptists and optometrists are also able to apply for funding.
Dunedin Ophthalmology Clinical Course
This is a two week residential course held yearly in Dunedin around October/November. It is attended and targeted by senior registrars ready to sit their final exam. Its value is high quality lecturers for each field, and the 4 OSCE sessions. Applications are accepted 1 April each year. See the Course Website for further information.
